Tommy Hilfiger returns to London Fashion Week for Spring/Summer 2020
Tommy Hilfiger announced in a press release shortly after its last show at Harlem’s Apollo Theater last September in collaboration with Pop singer, Zendaya that the brand would be returning for the Spring/Summer 2020 London fashion week which is to hold at the Tate Modern Art gallery on the 16th of February, 2020.
The famous TommyNow catwalk show has toured around the world including New York, Los Angeles, Milan, Paris, Shangai presenting its latest collections which were made readily available to the public for sale at the end of the show, in public stores and online.
The brand plans to present the new Hilfiger Men and women collection as well as the fourth TommyxLewis collection – which would mark the fourth collaboration with the brand’s global ambassador and six times Formula One Champion, Lewis Hamilton.
Lewis Hamilton had already presented three collections in collaboration with the brand notably in Milan and Shangai and he would be doing his fourth presentation for the brand at this upcoming event with the highlight on eco-responsibility in fashion.
The brand’s goal is to be one of the leading sustainable designer lifestyle brands in the world and as such, the TommyxLewis collections were aesthetic designs created from organic and recycled materials like organic cotton, vegan leather alternatives, Midori bioWick – a plant seed oil-based agent for textiles which aids the absorption of sweat and moisture by the fabric further ensuring to keep it dry faster, etc.
The 2020 London Fashion Week which would mark TommyNow’s eighth runaway experience, also promises to showcase the latest collections by Victoria Beckham, Margaret Howell, Roland Mouret, Emilia Wickstead, MM6 Maison Margiela and Simone Rocha.
Tommy Hilfiger’s first-ever collaboration was with Gigi Hadid. The brand also went into collaboration with Zendaya whose latest collection was showcased last September at its last show in Harlem at the Apollo Theater.
